Using Google's Referral Program To Raise Money
This week’s project plan identifies a quick way to raise $500 dollars or more for your team using a free suite of software offered by everyone's favourite search engine Google. Through Google's referral program your group will be referring supporters to a package of popular, essential software known as Google Pack. Everyone can benefit from downloading Google Pack as it includes popular titles such as

How Much Can You Make:
Your team will earn $2.00usd per download of Google Pack provided you follow the terms of service. If you have 25 members on your fundraising team and each recommend the software to just 10 people your team would profit $500.
Key Terms And Conditions:
- Each Web page(s) that contains a Google Pack Referral Button must also contain other content related to Your Site.
- A “Referral Event” will be initiated when a supporter clicks on a Referral Button from your Site and will be completed when the the product is downloaded.
- Supporters who click on a Google Pack Button will be directed to a Web page hosted by Google (“Referral Page”). The format, look and feel of which may be modified by Google from time to time.
- You shall not promote or facilitate a Referral Event by any means other than displaying a Referral Button on the Site, unless expressly authorized in writing by Google (including by electronic mail).
Avoid using language such as "Click here," "Visit these links to support our site," or other similar language.
- The best way to promote Google Pack to your supporters is through an endorsement and recommendation. However, program policies don't permit you to encourage clicks on or draw unnatural attention to the referral units you're displaying on your site.
It is acceptable to use language such as "We use Google Pack and recommend it!"
- You may place only one referral link on a given web page
Here's How To Get Started:
- You will need a free Google Adsense account in order to participate in the program.
- Once approved log in to your AdSense account at www.google.com/adsense.
- Click the AdSense Setup tab
- Click Referrals to chose this product.
- Choose Google Pack as the product you'd like to refer and click 'Continue.'
- Select the radio button next to the referral format you'd like to place on your site and continue.

- You may need help from your web master to complete this step. Copy and paste the referral code from the 'Your AdSense code' box into the HTML source code of your site. The referral button you've added should begin appearing on your page in moments.
- You will receive a PIN number in the mail from Google. You will need this PIN number in order to verify your account. This is very important because you cannot receive payment until you enter your PIN.
Letting Supporters Know:
It is essential that you focus on word-of-mouth advertising and endorsements to get the word out about Google Pack. Don't forget to use the words "We Proudly Recommend" instead of "Click Here".

The reports section of your Google Adsense account will list your earnings.
